    Hi,

We are traveling to Swiss in August 1st week which I believe is the peak season. We would be having Swiss travel pass. We are planning to visit below mountains –

    1) Mount Pilatus golden trip

    2) Matterhorn glacier paradise

    3) Mt Titlis

All of above will require us to buy part of the journey ( cable cars) with discounted prices using Swiss travel.

Is there a possibility to buy those discounted tickets in advance via online channel ?

We want to pre-book online availing Swiss travel pass discount in order to avoid queue and waiting times at the locations as it would be high peak season. We would be having small kids and hence trying to avoid wait times, I believe there will be long queues to buy tickets at locations

    Pls suggest

    Thanks

    Hi chintan982,

You can buy tickets online ahead of time but they aren’t reserving you a spot at a certain time. You also have to cue to exchange you ticket for a boarding pass. So it doesn’t typically save you time to do this.

    Thanks Lucas !

What’s the approximate wait time I should expect at ticket counters and then wait time to get onto cable cars of those mountains in 1st week of August ? This will help us plan our day and prepare for kids accordingly

I really couldn’t tell you how busy it will be. Maybe 15 minutes maybe an hour if it is really busy.

Generally tour groups arrive around 10am at the latest. I’d try to arrive at popular destinations well before that to be on the safe side.
