Advance purchase of Swiss Rail Pass

Happy New Year to everyone from the Texas, USA.

I tried to buy a Swiss Rail Pass to begin on 22.03.2017, but the system would only show the calendar out to 01.03.2017....am I doing something wrong? Was hoping to beat the 2017 price increase.

I'm not sure where you tried to purchase. The recommended websites are listed here and all except one allowed me to purchase for March 22. The page at www.raileurope-world.com/pass/swiss-travel-pass-82 does not allow to purchase any pass at the moment because they are performing end of year maintenance.

I often recommend the SBB web shop at www.swissrailways.com/ en (pick Online Ticket when asked for a delivery option). Note that some sites charge the 2017 prices if ordering a pass for 2017. The site I recommended does this as well, but is still cheaper than the other websites.
