Advice for 7 day trip with family in Switzerland
-
Duration: 7 Days (First week of June)
Travellers: 5 People – Parents (60 years)+3 adult siblings
Hi, I’m looking for advice with planning a 7 days trip in Switzerland. As we are travelling with parents, looking to make it a relaxed trip, combining sightseeing, mountain trips and train rides.
Q1: Please suggest if the following itinerary is good or can be modified for a better experience- especially when in Interlaken and Montreux.
Q2: Is it advisable to add a ride on the Glacier or Bernina Express in this itinerary at any point?
Thank you.
Day 1 Arrive early morning in Zurich.
Day trip to Rhine Falls.
Bahnhofstrasse in evening. Stay in Zurich.
Day 2 Zurich to Lucerne by 9am-ish Train. Leave luggage in Locker at Train Station.
Day Trip to Mt. Titlis.
Return, pick bags from station and check-in hotel.
Chapel Bridge (if possible) in evening. Stay in Lucerne.
Day 3 Quick stop at Chapel Bridge/Lake Lucerne. Golden Pass from Lucerne to Interlaken.
Explore Grindelwald / Wengen/ Lauterbrunnen. Stay in Interlaken.
Day 4 Day Trip to Mt. Jungfrau. Stay in Interlaken.
Day 5 Explore Beatenburg/Lake Thun. Stay in Interlaken.
Day 6 Train from Interlaken to Zweisimmen. Take Golden Pass to Montreux. Stay in Montreux.
Day 7 Explore Montreux. Train to Zurich in Evening. Stay in Zurich.
Day 8 7am Leave for Airport. Return flight.
THANK YOU,
Kanupriya
