I will be taking the train from Lugano to Fluelen via Goschenen. I noticed on the STP mapthat between Ariolo and Goschenen there is a dotted red line indicating only a 50% reduction vs free. Since we do not have to buy a ticket from Lugano to Fluelen, how do I pay for that short portion? And why is that short portion not covered by the STP as there is no change of trains except after that section at Erstfeld? Thanks for your help.

Hi Stacy,

Worry not - it is all free. The "dotted" line you see is actually the Gotthard Tunnel denoted by a dashed line. "Dashed" just means you are underground not that you have to pay more. 🤓
