Hi Hedvig,
I’m not exactly sure where the boat dock is in Basel – I think Dreiländereck? I’m sure your booking notes has those details.
In any case the main station is Basel SBB if you are looking on Google Maps.
Here is the timetable link to find train connections: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable

If its Dreilandereck you have to walk to the nearest tram stop at Kleinhüningen and get tram 8 to Basel SBB
However there are a few places you could arrive. You would need to check with the operator

We too are arriving in Basel by riverboat. We will be docked at Dreilandereck. How do we get directions to walk to Kleinhüningen? Does the Swiss rail pass cover the tram to the train station? If not, is there a convenient place to get money to pay for the tram?

Hi Emie,
Yes the Swiss Travel Pass covers local, city travel in Basel. You can confirm coverage in towns, train routes etc . with our page here (and the PDF map) http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/validity
It looks like Google Maps shows a 12 minute walk to Kleinhüningen stop or i am sure there are taxis available from the boat dock.

Hello
We just completed our river cruise from Basel to Amsterdam. You get tram easily from near river pier and it takes you to Basel train station.
Download SBB app and it works like a charm. It is such a fantastic app
