Me and my wife booked a trip to Switzerland for Dec 2-6 2019. We’ll be landing on Basel airport at 1030 am. Planning to explore lucern and jungfrau region but cant decide if we’ll get the swiss travel pass or half pass.

Here is our itinerary so far

Day 1 city tour of Basel and stay overnight
Day 2 travel to lucern: see mt. rigi then travel to lauterbrunnen
Day 3 explore/ hike lauterbrunnen, wengen, murren and grindelwald
Day 4 go to interlaken for paragliding
Day 5 return to basel for flight

*We wont go to jungfraufroch as we want to to the paragliding

    Questions

Did some reseach and find out schilthorn and harder kulm is closed during our visit. Is it worth it if we get the swiss pass or just get the half pass?

Is it safe/managable to hike during that time of the year? Can you suggest a nice hiking trail?

Can you offer other suggestions to improve our trip?

    Thanks so much!
