Hello All! We are excited about traveling to the Jungfrau region in August, we are a family of 2 adults and our toddler, who is almost 4 years old. Our home base will be in Wengen, here is our itinerary for now. Please provide feedback, if this is too much or if there are better options for a toddler, please let me know. We are very much into scenic playgrounds and places where we can have a meal or picnic while our little one runs around and plays. We are not experienced mountain hikers, but we will be bringing our hiking carrier and a stroller. I bolded the “must-dos” for us, which are mostly the playgrounds and hikes that are most appealing for our little one in tow. Any advice on places to skip, and places to see instead would be appreciated!

Saturday – Day 1 – Paris to Wengen, arrive in Wengen in the afternoon

    Sunday – Day 2

    – Wengen to Mannlichen via cable car – playground and lunch

    – Hike to Kleine Scheidegg – family friendly, easy. Take train to Wengen.

    – Wengen, rest, then go into Lauterbrunnen for dinner, back to Wengen

    Monday – Day 3 –

    – Wengen to Interlaken via train for lunch and shopping

    – Interlaken to Grindelwald via train, Grindelwald to First via cable car. First

First, to Grindelwald via cable car, Grindelwald to Klein Scheidegg to Wengen via train

    Tuesday – Day 4 –

Wengen to Lauterbrunnen via train – Lauterbrunnen to Murren via cable car, Murren to Almendhubbel via cable car

    Almendhubbel – playground and lunch

Almendhubbel to Murren via train, Murren to Gimmelwald via cablecar, Gimmelwald to Stechelberg via cable car, bus down to Trummelbach Falls, to Lauterbrunnen, back up to Wengen

Wednesday – Day 5 – Jungfroujoch Train from Wengen

Thursday – Day 6 – Wengen to Zurich, stay the night in Zurich

    Friday – Day 7 – flight home
