B&B with in-room bathroom close to Jungfraujoch

    Hello all,

    Wife and I are going to be in Switzerland from October 6-10. We definitely would like to stay in an area that’s located relatively close to the Jungfraujoch… Yet easy to get around to see Brienz and some of the other towns there as well as the Mountain villages. Looking for a reasonable yet nice nice bed-and-breakfast with in-room bathroom. Suggestions???

    Hi rainman,

    Lehmann’s Herberge is a well reviewed guest house, 5 minutes on foot from the train station of Grindelwald. So very convenient to reach Jungfraujoch. They have triple rooms with a private bathroom. Please see http://www.hotelscombined.com /Hotel/Lehmanns_Herber ge.htm. Trains to Interlaken take 35 minutes. From there you can go anywhere you like, including Brienz.

    There’s a similar option in Lauterbrunnen, again at 5 minutes from the train station: http://www.booking.com/hotel/ ch/chalet-rosa.html.
