    Hello,

I wanted to know what is the nearest train station to lavaux Vineayrd which is across from lake Geneva. My plan was to travel form Bern Train station to nearest train station to Lavaux Vineyard and do some sort of a hike through the vineyard and then go to Chillon Castle. But I have been having trouble planning this trip. In addition, if there is something else that can be done around there please advice. I do have a swiss travel pass. Please help

    Thanks

There are vineyards all along the north side of Lake Geneva, facing south. You can get off just about anywhere. Last year I took a train to Grandvaux on the Bern – Lausanne main line and walked down through the vineyards to station on the Lausanne – Vevey lakeshore main line.

And there is the Train des Vignes:

Note that vineyards are not limited to Lake Geneva. There are also vineyards on the north shore of other lakes such as the Bielersee.
