Hi, I book the train to Bern and plan to stay there 3 days 2 nights before leaving for Milan.

First day, we plan to walk about Bern.

second day, we plan to go to Mt Titlis. I heard you can buy ticket at Office for ALL IN ticket from Bern to Mt Titlis. My question is:

    1. To get to the tram of Mt Titlis: do you buy train ticket from Bern go directly to Lucerne and from there Tram to Mt Titlis or have to do several transit? What is the website to buy this train ticket?

    2. Going to Mt Titlis is a day trip? How many hours you think from going from Bern and coming back Bern in total?

    Thanks for advice

Hello Vangrace and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

Bern to the top of Titlis is between 2h 30m and 2h 50m one way (depending on connections).

Use the SBB Timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable) to plan your travel. If you are not familiar with using the timetable it will pay to first read the instructions on that page.

You could buy a return ticket Bern to Engelberg and buy the cable car tickets at the cable car ticket office in Engelberg. You might want to consider going one way via Meiringen and Interlaken to enjoy the scenery of the Brunig Pass. It will take longer but well worth the scenery.

Please note the Titlis Glacier Park is closed until 30.11.2018.
