Bernina Express – running on January 1?

    Will the Bernina Express run from St. Moritz to Tirano on 1 January 2018?

    Hi, and welcome to MySwissAlps!

    Yes, the Bernina Express will run on 1 January, but at that time of the year, direct Bernina Express services just run from Chur, once per day, and the first stop is Pontresina. From St Moritz, you would probably need to take a regional train from St Moritz to Pontresina (with a change at Samedan) and join the Bernina Express at Pontresina.

    You can check exact details in the Swiss Timetable after the 2018 timetable is released on 18 October 2017.
