Hi
I made seat reservation today from Zermatt to St Moritz on Glacier express but we need to take Bernina express to Tirano and back to Zurich same day as we have a flight at 9 in the morning. Is it possible to do or is there another way to take Bernina express instead of Tirano in other direction.

Hi Madhura618 and welcome to MySwissAlps!
So just so I get the itinerary straight in my head:
Day 1 Glacier Express to St. Mortiz
Day 2: You want to take Bernina Express to Tirano and then return to Zurich that day
Day 3: 9am flightIf that is all correct then your plan is possible. You can take the Bernina Express to Tirano in the morning and then train back to Zurich in the afternoon. You can’t catch the Bernina Express at St. Moritz though – you need to take a regional train to Pontresina first (quick trip) and the change to the BEX train to Tirano.
https://www.myswissalp s.com/berninaexpress/g ettingthereYou can use the Swiss railways timetable (https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable) to plan your trips between towns. Trains labeled BEX are the official Bernina Express panoramic trains. All other trains are regional trains.

i xhecked the schedule on July 28th but it gives me from St. Moritz leaving at 0939 and arriving at 12 noon. To go back same day to Zurich we need to take BEX back to St. Moritz and to Zurich or we can take faster regional train . I have been reading Forum and planned our Itinary accordingly. We are staying in Villars Sur Ollon from July 21-25 and doing day trips to close by areas . Then on 25th we are taking Golden pass to Interlaken. Stay there and explore Schilthorn and Jungfrau region. Then go to Zermatt to St. Moritz on Glacier express .On 28th St. Moritz to Tirano and want to come back to Zurich same night to catch our flight to US in the morning. Please advice if we planned it correctly or not

So you get to Tirano at 12:00pm. If you want to be on the BEX train again to Chur it departs at 14:26 and you’d get to Zurich at 19:53. You can take faster regional trains earlier in the day if you want too.
You must make reservations on the BEX trains but not on the regional trains: https://www.myswissalp s.com/berninaexpress/p ackages

I have one more question about my seat reservation on GEX. Made for four people and paid for four but only shows 2 names . Reservation number WSKQNRV. reservation is from Zermatt to St. Moritz but only shows Zermatt to Chur.
rockoysterParticipant8889 posts21 June 2018 at 23:42:56 #888947That doesn’t sound great. You should contact whoever you made the reservations through.
How much did you pay? Should be CHF172 (CHF43 x 4) for reservation only.

rockoysterParticipant8889 posts22 June 2018 at 0:03:40 #888949Well you are in the right ballpark so you should contact them to find out why only two people showing.

i used the same link to make the booking for seat reservations. It is Happy rail sight. I want to make sure it is right to make other seat reservation for Bernina Express and Golden pass. If not then can you please let us know the right one.
We are staying in Villars Sur Ollon from July 21-25. Please advice us what sights to see in that area . I think we can do Glacier 3000 from there,.our train journey starts when we come back to Geneva on 25th July. Please correct me if it does not work.
july 25 Geneva—Montreux-Zweisimmen -Interlaken with goldenpass line from Zweisimmen . Stay in Interlaken .
july 26 Schilithone and explore Lauterbrunnen, Murren and other towns.
July 27 We take Glacier express from Zermatt to St Moritz. I still need to find out how to get to Zermatt from Interlaken on 26th.
july 28 Bernina express from St. Moritz to Tirano and bus to Lugano and take fast train to Zurich
july 29 back to USA flight at 9.40 AM
rockoysterParticipant8889 posts23 June 2018 at 20:33:58 #888955For BEX you can use HappyRail or http://www.rhb.ch/en/panorami c-trains/bernina-express#info if you want to pick specific seats. You better hurry. Bus seats sell out early.
For Golden Pass Line (http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass) you can make reservations including seat selection at bit.ly/2kaq6Rf. Just change the class of travel, date of travel and start/end points to suit. And click the “e” for English language top right of the page. (where it says “Sprachwahl: d i f e”).
You only really need reservations Montreux to Zweisimmen.
Are you staying overnight in Zermatt on 26th?
Removed userParticipant72625 posts24 June 2018 at 1:48:54 #888956Rockoyeser Yes I am planning to stay one night at Zermatt just to take BEX from there.
rockoysterParticipant8889 posts24 June 2018 at 1:53:26 #888957I think you mean GEX from Zermatt but it’s good that you are arriving there the day before.
If you have time you can include via Kandersteg on the trip from Interlaken to Zermatt. Then between Spiez and Brig you will travel on the Regio-Express Lötschberger train over the traditional, more than 100 year old mountain route, giving you a wonderful view along the impressive peaks and down into the Rhone Valley. The 1-hour faster route via Visp takes you through the fairly lengthy Lötschberg Base Tunnel with rather limited views.
Enjoy.
Removed userParticipant72625 posts24 June 2018 at 2:45:12 #888958Sorry yes. I meant GEX from Zermatt To St. Moritz. We want to do Schilithone and explore Lauterbrunnen, Murren and other towns and go to Zermatt that evening. I gave no clue how far it is. Is it doable do you think ?
rockoysterParticipant8889 posts24 June 2018 at 3:19:58 #888959If you want to know how long it takes to get from A to B you had best become familiar with the SBB Timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable).
From Lauterbrunnen a very nice circuit to do is to Grütschalp (cable car), Mürren (train), Gimmelwald (cable car), Stechelberg (cable car), Lauterbrunnen (bus). From Mürren you visit Schiltorn and return. In between Stechelberg and Lauterbrunnen the bus stops at the Trummelbach Falls. Well worth a look. May take you 4 to 5 hours from Interlaken and back depending on how long you spend looking at stuff.
Removed userParticipant72625 posts24 June 2018 at 7:42:53 #888960Thank you so much. Definitely we will do this circuit.
Removed userParticipant72625 posts25 June 2018 at 16:24:10 #888961I have a problem with seat reservation with Happy rail booking.
I paid for the whole route from Zermatt to St. Moritz on Glacier Express but they issued ticket only from Zermatt to Chur. When asked they are saying 7.52 train only goes up to Chur. What do I need to do to get To St. Moritz to get on Glacier Express and don’t get charged only for whole trip but just get partial reservation? How do you know when making the booking it only goes up to Chur and not to St. Moritz? Please help.
