Hello,

More advise needed for our upcoming trip to Switzerland:

1) we will be arriving in Zurich on October 13, when is the latest we can purchase the STP ticket?

2) we tried to book 1st class seat reservation via Bernina express from Chur to Tirano but it’s sold out. Is 2nd class seat fine? Can we still have a good view of the scenic route?

you can buy your Swiss Travel Pass at the airport or you can save time and buy it online in advance via any of these resellers at http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/price, for example at https://www.happyrail. com/en/pass/europe/swi tzerland/swiss-travel-pass-consecutive.

Have you tried the 1st class seat reservation for Bernina Express at https://www.raileurope .com/train/bernina-express or at https://www.happyrail. com/en/pass/europe/swi tzerland/passholder-fares-bernina-express? Second class will be good too, there are more seats in a couch but the landscape will be the same 🙂

Good morning Ildiko,

thank you for the reply. We ended up buying the 2nd class because happy rail is just too slow in responding to email. If we wait, there might be no available reservation anymore on the date we planned already but haven’t had the chance to look at the raileurope website though.

Just want to let you know that the help and advise you provide to travelers like us help a lot especially in the planning phase. Kudos to all of you!
