    Hi,

We wish to take the Bernina express from Chur to Tirano. Is there a way to return from Tirano on the same day? If we just go up to St Moritz and return, will that be scenic too? Is there a return train from st moritz the same day? Pls advise.

    Hello Menks,

All information regarding a trip on the Bernina Express can be found here:

Seat reservations are required, so best book those soon if you are anticipating traveling soon (see “tickets” tab in the above link). They can sell out. You can return within the same day but it would be rather a lot of time on the train. If you are fine with this, then for sure, you can return via the same route either on the Bernina Express itself or via the regular trains (no reservation necessary on regular trains). You can research and gauge timings via the SBB timetable.

Yes, going up to St. Moritz is an option and yes it will be scenic. If you navigate to the “route” tab above, you’ll find a description of the entire journey.

I hope this helps, feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda
