Hi everyone,

I would like to know if its possible to take Bernina Express from Basel? If not then which is the best way? If from Zermatt, is it possible to take a day trip then return back to Zermatt?

To get to Zermatt, the timetable will tell you about routes and timing:

Train travel from Basel to Zermatt takes approximately 3 and 1/2 hours.

From Zermatt to Chur takes a bout 4 and 1/2 hours.

I don’t see how you can put all that together in less than two days.
