We are Swiss travel pass holders and plan to make a day trip fr St Moritz to Tirano on 20 November 2019.

How do we make seat reservation on Bernina Express website? Which route should we take from St Moritz ? Is Bernina Express operative on November 20th from St Moritz?

    Thanks

    Susanna

    Hi Susanna Suah,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps!

The Bernina Express trains (from Chur – Tirano) operate all year round, but you should check the timetable for any seasonal adjustment.

In winter, I think the train calls at St Moritz only once a day, so you should plan ahead. Alternatively you can take a regular train to Chur and join the Bernina Express from there.

You do need to make a seat reservation. Please find more info here:

Hi Tonyw! You may be running into the fact that there’s a timetable update for 2020 coming up. Currently, not all routes for after this update are displayed well yet. You’d best check shortly after mid-October, as that’s when the new 2020 timetable will be released: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable. You can also check the Bernina Express timetable we link to under “More on other websites” at http://www.myswissalps.com/be rninaexpress/gettingth ere.
