I’ve been looking for a sim card that can be used in all three countries, but haven’t found one yet. The Traveler’s Wifi hotspot is too expensive in the global version for 6 weeks – over 400chf.

Does anyone know of a sim card that can be bought in Zurich or sent to a Zurich hotel for when we arrive, and which will cover all three countries? We start in Switzerland, then travel to Austria then Germany, and spend our last night in Zurich.

For Switzerland you can’t beat the Salt Prepay. See shop.salt.ch/en/plans/ prepay/ and cancel the popup that appears and hides the real deal.

Thanks Rockoyster, but is there one we can use in all three countries? I think Salt only works in Switzerland.

Sorry – no experience of Austria or Germany but I reckon if you are looking for value for money and quality of service it would be worth your while using Salt in Switzerland and something else in the other countries.

Look for a tourist SIM card in the EU country that you will be arriving in. Usually, they allow free roaming to EU countries and in some cases, these include Switzerland.

As I said above, we arrive in Switzerland. Simly only seems to cover Switzerland and Austria. I’m going to look into Onesimcard as that looks as if it should cover all three countries.
