Hi RaoG,
Welcome to MySwissAlps! Can you tell us your other travel plans in Switzerland, how long you’re in the country, if there are children in your family and what age? The best pass depends on all of your trips combined.
Meanwhile, you can do the math as explained here: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/ticketspasses/prac tical/chooserailpass.

Thank you for response. We are landing in Zurich on Thursday, July 18 morning and planning to have a half-day tour in Zurich city.
My family consists of my wife, me and kids (18 and 20 years). We have one day free (Friday, July 19) when we want to visit Jungfraujoch and in rerun get down in Bern. We sould like to know the best option for this travel.
We will join a packaged (group ) tour from Collette travels (starts from Bern) on Friday evening . and covering various places in Switzerland (Château de Chillon – Montreux – Train Ride – Gstaad, Lucerne) for 3 days .Then we are proceeding to Austria (stationed in Innsbruck for 4 days). The tour company covers all travel, accommodations.

Hi RaoG,
Thank you for the additional information. The kids qualify as adults, so the same prices apply. A regular ticket for July 19 costs CHF 323.40 per person. You can bring that price down in various ways:
- Buy a Swiss Half Fare Card, you will then get a 50% discount on the ticket. Total costs will be CHF 281.70 p.p. Additional advantage is that you will get discounts on your first day as well if you need any transport, and on anything you would do aside from the tour program (the card is valid for a month). You can print the 4 Swiss Half Fare Cards at home: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isshalffarecard/price.
- Like option 1, but instead of one ticket you would buy the (discounted) Saver Day Pass and a (discounted) ticket for the leg not covered by the Saver Day Pass. If it’s still available for the best price, the total price could come down to CHF 253. You can check prices here: http://www.myswissalps.com/sa verdaypass/price.
- If you don’t buy a Swiss Half Fare Card you can still buy a Saver Day Pass and a tickets for the leg not covered, all without discounts. This costs CHF 260 (or more).
