    Hello friends,

I am travelling to Switzerland from the 24th of June to 1st of July with my mom who is 75 years old and a son who is 10 years old. I am in in Zurich for one day and then driving to Montruex . We are staying at Montreux and have hired a car for 7 days which will take us around . Please recommend things to do as day trips across the country keeping in mind both age groups. Also places we must visit. Since we are there for 7 days I would like to cover the best of the country.

    Thanks

    Bijal

Hi Bijal and welcome to MySwissAlps!

We have a list of recommended activities for visitors to Switzerland here:

If you’d like ideas for points of interest around the Montreux area look here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/montreux/activit ies are you staying in Montreux for the week then?

If you are wanting to go up into the mountains, you’ll need to park the car and use trains or cable cars for most of the trip. Often using trains is a better way to travel around the country than a car is.

Once you’ve read through our suggestions and put together a round itinerary, post it here and we can advise if it can work for you or if we would suggest making changes.
