Is it possible to buy Swiss Half Fare Card at Zurich airport when I arrive? Or is it better to get the Card online before I get there? I arrive April 4, 2019. Thanks

HI Mbt26 and welcome to MySwissAlps!

You can buy it upon arrival but we recommend you do it in advance to save you time and also provide you a backup copy of the transaction for any eventuality. You can read more about it and find resellers on this link: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isshalffarecard/price.

All the best on your travels!

    Maria.

By all means purchase on line and print at home. I just did it myself for a trip end of April thru early May 2019.

My favourite is bit.ly/2L4axa6. Never heard of a problem buying on-line from them.

With my credit card I can buy only in euro currency. SBB doesn’t have that option of changing currency while making payment, as I see. Please help.

If you go through to the checkout page you get to choose your currency. See attached. Press the down arrow next to CHF for choices.

    Hello Anil,

Sure, see map at http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isshalffarecard/validi ty.

The SBB Timetable (bit.ly/2HH1U7B) will show you the half-fare price by default. You may also see a cheaper Supersaver fare but that is tied to a particular time train departure rather than whole day ticket for the route.

Hello.. i will travel to Jungfraujoch on July 27, 2019 from Interlaken. If i plan to buy Swiss Half Fare online here in Indonesia and Jungfraujoch ticket in Interlaken West/Ost.. will i get 50% discount for Jungfraujoch ticket by showing the Swiss Half fare?

Yes you can buy tickets at 50% discount. You don’t need to show the Swiss Half-Fare Card to buy a discounted ticket. You just need to show the SHFC to the inspector on the train to prove that you are eligible to travel with a half-fare ticket. See http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isshalffarecard/howtou se

    Hi Sendha,

As Rockoyster says, it you buy the Swiss Half Fare Card, see purchase options below, you can simply buy a discounted ticket to the Jungfraujoch (purchase options below) and present the two things together when asked so:

    Best,
    Steph
