    Hello!

I am so excited to visit Murren in September! I am visiting a lot of places with only 2-3 days in each place. I’m trying to figure out the best, quickest and least expensive way to get from Mürren to Monopoli. It looks like my best options are to either go to Zurich or Milan and to fly to Bari. When I look up how to get to Milan, it seems there are no real options. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hello Sara and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

See http://www.myswissalps.com/tr aintickets/italy to get to Milan. The quickest way is via Domodossola.

Use the timetable on the SBB website (bit.ly/2HH1U7B) or the highly-recommended SBB Mobile app (bit.ly/2ICIUHi) to plan your travel, find fares* and buy tickets if required. If you are not familiar with using the timetable it will pay to first read the instructions on this page – http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable. *SBB website shows half-fare prices by default, mobile app allows you to nominate full or half-fare and is also smart enough to offer you the Saver Day Pass (http://www.myswissalps.com/sa verdaypass) if that offers the best fare.

There are two direct Inter City routes from Switzerland to Milano – its a very common destination for people (expats and tourists). They are both famous transalpine routes used for centuries

    Zurich – Gotthard – Lugano – Milano

    Basel/Geneve – Brig – Simplon – Milano
