Best way to MXP airport from southern Switzerland

    we have a swiss rail pass. is the bus or rail best. we would plan to leave by the border in the southern part of switzerland or northern area of italy. Do they stop you at the border when you have a pass?

    It depends what train you are taking. The train will stop briefly but you should not normally have to change trains. You have a ticket and seat reservation from the Swiss border to Milan right? The Swiss Travel Pass will only cover you up to the border.

    Hi Bhaverhals,

    Yes, you’ll want a ticket/reservation from the Swiss-Italian border town (whichever that is for your trip) to Milan airport.

    You can see what train or bus you need to take with the Swiss Railways timetable.
