Hello HappyTravel and Welcome to MySwissAlps,
Normally I would say use the SBB Timetable (bit.ly/2HH1U7B) to plan your travel. If you are not familiar with using the timetable it will pay to first read the instructions on this page – http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable.
But finding boats can be tricky as you need to use advanced search and choose only “Ship” as the mode of transport.
You will find boat timetables at http://www.lakelucerne.ch/en/ timetable-fares/timetable/.

Hi HappyTravel,
Depending on the time you arrive it might be tricky to find a boat, check Rockoysters link for detail and below link for more input:

You can, however, always get to Weggis later on by train and bus, as the timetable will show you when you search the connection.
Enjoy your stay and get back to us for any further input.
Best,
Steph

Hi Happy Traveler –
You’ve got your answer , and learning the details of how to use the timetable will prove invaluable for your travel in Switzerland. So , please note the need to help the timetable with a “via” or, by selecting “boats,” as the preferred method of travel. Otherwise, the timetable will default to the fastest route. All of that is mentioned on the page of instructions that Rockoyster provided a link for.. I have made that trip many times, and have used the boat , because it is a nice ride and is sometimes the fastest route. And, that boat is the same one that stops at Vitznau, where the cograil train that goes up the Rigi connects.
Your alternative means of public transport is a bus that runs along the lake shore, as noted by Steph. It runs between between Brunnen and Küssnacht am Rigi, terminating at the train station in both cases. Thence, to and from Luzern is by train.
Are you planning to go up to Rigi Kaltbad via the cableway (die Luftseilbahn, LSB) from Weggis? If so, please note the approximately 15 minute uphill walk to the valley station (die Talstation) of the cableway. It is bit of a hike with luggage, with a roughly 45 meter elevation change, and there is no shuttle bus. (There is a bus for school children a few times per day, which you might run across if your are working in detail with maps and schedules)..)
In the timetable, that cableway is identified with the letters LSB on the name of the station…. “Weggis LSB.”
