Just wondering if we should book the gauranteed boarding pass for Schilthorn in advance, I know most don’t recommend this but if it means avoiding a long wait it would suit us I think (taking a chance on the weather). Also we booked Golden pass from interlaken to Montreaux, on one part we reserved 2nd class and on the second leg we accidently booked first class 10chf, can we pay to upgrade to first class (we have a 15day swiss travel pass 2nd class) or should I bin them and just re book new 2nd class reservations.

    Thanks

    Den

That’s entirely a personal choice. If it suits you, then by all means go ahead 🙂

As you are travelling in July, it will be busy (especially as it is a free trip with a Swiss Travel Pass), so getting guaranteed departure times is probably a good idea to save hanging around in long queues.

Yes, you can upgrade to first class just for the sector for which you have made first class reservations. Just take your Swiss Travel Pass to any staffed station in Switzerland and ask for a class upgrade. It will cost half the difference between the first- and second-class fares for that sector.
