Wondering if you can tell me how I can get prices and book an overnight guided hike for August 30, 2017. We want to hike from Schynige Platte to First with an overnight stay at the Berghotel Faulhorn.

I look forward to your reply.

Why a guided tour, you can do this walk good on your own.

You can also walk in one day from Schynigge platte to First (cable car station).

When you want to sleep on the Faulhorn, you can book a night by the Faulhorn Hutte: www.berghotel-faulhorn.ch

Brahms' comments are optimistic. You can do it in one day, but it is tough. Staying at the Berghotel at Faulhorn gives a special flavor to the hike.

You can do it in either direction:

You won't need aguide, but a map would be a good idea.

More deatails on maps...of which there are many ...if you ask us.

Hello Lee-Anne,

Here is the information about Hotel Faulhorn in English: www.berghotel-faulhorn.ch/index_eng. html.

It's a beautiful hike - we did it more than once (both directions). We always started early, but it's doable in one day, even with children. We never used a map, just follow the signs - and even signs are hardly necessary.

Have fun, wear good shoes and take food and drinks. Like I said, it's doable, but the hike will take you 6-8 hours. That is: it took us 6-8 hours... In most cases not more than 6.
