    Hello,

I will be travelling to Switzerland next month along with my wife and would be arriving at Zurich from Vienna.

I am trying to book tickets to luzern from zurich via SBB App and cheaper tickets are available under the heading “Supersaver ticket”, My query is, do i need to purchase a half fare card to avail the discounts available through Supersaver ticket or i can directly purchase the Supersaver ticket without half fare card?

    Regards

    Hi Sudh26,

You don’t need a Swiss Half-fare Card to buy a Supersaver ticket but the price will be even cheaper if you have a half-fare card.

Be aware that a supersaver ticket MUST be used on that specific train leaving at that specific time. If you miss it you’ll need to buy another ticket.
