Couple of questions regarding Brienz. I am staying in Interlaken. I will be visiting Aare Gorge before Brienz today. Which stop in Brienz is the best (thinking Rothorn Bahn)? Once there what is the best way to see the town and shop? I am looking to find the wood carved art, clocks, etc. I especially like local art. Thanks.

The Brienz train station, where you’d best get off after your Aareschlucht visit, is simply called “Brienz”. It’s right opposite the valley station of the Brienzer Rothorn Bahn. You’ll find details using the timetable at http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable.
In Brienz, you could visit the woodcarving museum (http://www.museum-holzbildhauerei.ch/), the school (http://www.holzbildhauerei.ch /) and the Huggler shop (http://www.huggler-holzbildhauerei.ch/).
