We’re staying in Thun and tomorrow is the last day we can use our STPs. We’ve been to Jungfrajoch, First, Schilthorn and Gornergrat. As the weather is so good, as it has been for the last two weeks, we’d like to do another mountain railway.

For anyone who’s been on both trains which do you think is the best?

    Hi Judy,

I’ve been to both, and both are absolutely wonderful. Weather wise both should be great tomorrow. Schynige Platte is a bit closer to the higher peaks and has more hiking/walking options. Wonderful lake views from the Brienzer Rothorn. You’ll find more details here:

    Thanks Arno

We think we will go to Schynige Platte because of it’s proximity to the Alps so we can enjoy that view once more before leaving Switzerland.
