Hi all. Our first time to Switzerland. We will be going into Switzerland overland from Milan in the middle of December. We want to visit Zermatt and take the Gornegrat Bahn. We’re basically city people from Singapore and only some in the group would be interested in skiing. We are wondering if we should base ourselves in Brig, Randa or Tasch before heading to Zermatt for a day trip. We have a few questions:

    1. What’s the skiing like in the middle of December and where better to do it? Randa or Tasch?

    2. Is the Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge accessible in December? This may help us decide if we will base ourselves in Randa.

    3. For the non-skiers, what can we do in Randa or Tasch?

    4. As for Brig, would it be a better choice as a base?

Our main aim is to do the Gornegrat ride and if possible to take the cable car. We should be based there for about 3-4 days before heading for Interlaken.

Thanks all in advance for helping us.

    From tropical Singapore,

    Christopher
