Hi John,
All I have is a link to the website. Please refer to the links at http://www.myswissalps.com/ca r/cartrains.
Maybe someone else on the forum could provide some insights.

Hi Anna,
Thanks for this. I had looked at this page, but couldn’t really see anything other than the rider being responsible for securing the vehicle, I’d like to know what this means and where do you go once you’ve secured the motorcycle. I’m so used to EuroTunnel where you just ride on, park up (no need to strap the bike down) and stay with the vehicle.
Cheers,
John

Hi John,
When we took the car on the shuttle train (Goppenstein – Kandersteg), we had to remain in the car throughout the journey crossing the tunnel (took only 15 – 20 mins, same duration as the journey from Brig to Iselle). I assume it would be the same for motorcycles.

Hi Anna,
Thanks for this, sounds very much like the EuroTunnel.

You should contact BLS for the information – http://www.bls.ch/en/pages/ko ntakt/formular-fahrplan or phone them – +41583274114.

On the BLS car carrying trains (Kandersteg – Goppenstein and Brig – Iselle) bikes or motorbike riders travel in the amenity coach (which is the driving coach at the opposite end of the push pull train to the locomotive).
The same used to happen on Eurotunnel (there is a little ‘hidden’ lounge in end cars of Eurotunnel coach sets)
