Buy a discounted ticket with Swiss Travel Pass

    I learned from this forum that STP covers only 50% for cable car to Mt. Pilatus. I will be there in early May.

    When should I buy the discounted ticket up the mountain – (1) online at SBB in advance, or (2) at ticket office just before boarding ? In case of buying in advance, will I be restricted to a specific schedule ?

    The SBB online store will be able to apply my STP discount , is this correct?

    Hello Alfred,

    Just buy your ticket from the ticket shop at Kriens. No need to buy in advance and better not to in any case as you don’t know what the weather will do.
