Hi,
We are headed to Lucerne at the end of July and would like to buy a swiss half fare card for our time in Lucerne and the Bernese Oberlands. We are thinking of taking the golden round trip up Pilatus while in Lucerne and want to know if we can buy the half fare card at the train station in Lucerne and then immediately use the card to purchase our tickets for the golden round trip or if it would be better to purchase the half fare card before we leave for Europe. Thanks in advance!

Hi Karen, and welcome to our website!

You can either purchase it in Lucerne (and use it immediately) or online. This page lists all the options.

Have fun!
