Buying Swiss pass in Basel airport

Hi,
I am flying into Basel on June 13, and would like to buy 8 days swiss pass to travel around.
I wonder whether we can purchase the pass in Basel airport and use it directly to travel from the airport to the basel train station, then to Lucerne?

Hi Tracy,

You can buy your pass at the Basel main station as long as the ticket counters are open (probably until about 21:00). I'm quite sure there's an outlet at the airport as well. That would allow you to use your pass for the bus to the main station also.
