    Hello,

I’ve been trying to google this but could not find a definitive answer.

I am going to Wengen in August and want to hike Schilthorn and go down with the cable car.

Can I buy a ticket at the cable car at the top to go down to Mürren en what’s the price?

    Bas

Hi Bas and welcome to MySwissAlps!

The easiest way to find pricing is on the Swiss Railways timetable: https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable – just note the first price you see is the Swiss Half Fare Card holder price (double it for the regular fare). You can definitely buy a ticket at the top of the mountain to get down.

Hi Bas! Apart from the timetable mentioned by Lucas, you’ll also find a link to ticket prices under “More information” at the bottom of https://www.myswissalp s.com/schilthorn/ticke ts.

Please note that the hiking route up to Schilthorn is quite challenging, and may be difficult if you’re not an experienced hiker. These tips may be of help: https://www.myswissalp s.com/hiking.

    Thanks Lucas and Annika.

Hike should not be a problem, have been hiking since I was 4 years old in Austria(32 now).
