I see that the cable car from Wengen to Mannlichen has an open air balcony on the top of the car. Is there an extra charge for the balcony or is it covered by STP?

The Männlichen cable car is discounted by 50% with a Swiss Travel Pass: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/validity. You’ll have to pay an additional charge of CHF 5 to use the open air balcony: http://www.maennlichen.ch/en/ summer/information/far e-prices-from-wengen.html.

Hallo,

Does the Berner Oberland regional pass cover the additional charge for the balcony?

I’m considering getting the B-O pass since we’ll be in Wengen for 6 days in August, and will probably take this cable car more than once.

The Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland covers the Männlichen ride, but I suspect that the extra CHF 5 for the balcony has to be paid for anyway, regardless of one’s pass or ticket. You can check validity at http://www.myswissalps.com/re gionalpassberneseoberl and/validity.
