    Hi Rosendomorte,

No, there’s no need for that as a Saver Day Pass is valid the whole day. Basically, this pass provides free unlimited traveling on Swiss public transport for one day. However this does not include mountain transportation such as gondola and cable cars. You can find more information here: http://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass/howtouse

    Hi Rosendemorte,

Note that seat reservations aren’t necessary for most Swiss trains. Unless you use specific international or panoramic trains (https://www.myswissalps.com/activities/scenictrips/train), you can simply board any train that suits you with the Saver Day Pass. You don’t need prior reservations or additional tickets. You can read more here: https://www.myswissalps.com/train/reservations.

With a Saver Day Pass you can go all over the ‘core network’ of Swiss transport for the day. So for Zurich – Zermatt you can take a Zurich tram or bus from your accommodation to a Zurich station then any train on any lowland route Zurich – Zermatt (there are two or three possible routes if you have all day to play with)

    Hi Rosendomorte,

The Saver Day Pass is valid on the Bernina Express. There is no need to purchase a ticket. All you need is a seat reservation. Further information about making seat reservation on the Bernina Express here: http://www.myswissalps.com/berninaexpress/tickets

    regards,
