Hi All,

We are planning to reach to Zweisimmen railway station by car and catch the Golden Pass train from Zweisimmen to Montreux and then return back from there.

We would want to park the car for 6-7 hours at this location. We won't be purchasing Swiss travel pass or half fare pass.

Can someone please guide if there is a parking place near railway station and what are the charges ? Will it be safe ? What is the railway station called ? Is it called Zweisimmen, Bahnhof, ?

Thanks,Dhaval Mehta

Look at that map image and zoom in and out. You might have a modest hourly fee. Without looking it up, I'd guess at 5 CHF for up to 24 hours. There may be a central "Parkuhr" ( parking clock) where you pay at a central station and either register your the space number for your car, or else get a paper ticket to leave on the dashboard of your car. Maybe no fee. it ain't a Big City.

Your car will be safe, but, to be sure, before you get to the station, put your belongings out of sight in the boot (or trunk, if you speak American English.)

Hi,

There are 51 parking places. The costs are CHF 6 per day.

You are more than welcome.

Enjoy the ride.

The train ride through the vineyards down into Montreux is one of my favorites.

The train track does switchbacks, so it is not critical which side you choose to sit on.

Good views from both sides.
