    Hi

My wife and myself are planing to visit Switzerland on the 25 sep for 10 days arriving on day 1 at geneve airport and staying there for one night.

On day 2 We are planning to go to montreux and buy 8-day Regional-Pass Berner Oberland and use is to explore Berger oberland region.

On day 10 we will take train back from montruex to geneve to depart back home.

what is the best price ticket I should buy for first and last day trips (train from geneve to Montruex on day 1 and train from montruex to geneve on day 10).

    thanks and best regards.

You will just have to buy a normal ticket, or a cheaper Supersaver if one is showing as available.

However, please bear in mind the Berner Oberland Pass gives only 50% between Montreux and Saanen (just West of Gstaad)

    Hi bashnaini,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

I agree with 1960man’s suggestions. A point-to-point ticket might be cheaper if you’re just planning a single trip between Geneva and Montreux. YOu can find more information about point-to-point tickets here: http://www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/switzerland

Also, as 1960man pointed out, you also need a ticket from Montreux to Saanen. This is half-price if you have the Regional Pass Bernese Oberland. You can view and download the Regional Pass Bernese Oberland validity map here: http://www.myswissalps.com/regionalpassberneseoberland/validity

    Regards,

    Anna
