Chexbres to Strasbourg – Best route

    Hello again everyone,

    Trying to figure out the best way to get from Chexbres Village to Strasbourg, France. Was thinking of going via Basel, but looks like several train changes and a fair walk between stations in Basel to hook up with the French line. Is it worth still doing this route due to scenery maybe? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance….

    Hi GalaxyStars,

    The timetable always give the most direct routes for you. The fastest I could find on a random search was 4 hours and 3 train changes.

    I’m not sure what you mean by a fair walk between stations in Basel?
    On the connection I found you have 22 minutes to make connection from Platform 7 to platform 30 in the same station (Basel SBB) so that won’t be an issue.

    Hopefully the French strike doesn’t affect the last leg for you.
