We are taking Bernina express from Tirano to chur or St moritz on june18. Next day we are taking Glacier Express to Zermatt. Idea is to travel both scenic routes and since we cannot do in one day we have to stay one night in Chur or St Moritz. We have STP. Also we noticed that for Bernina we can book reservation beyond three months but not for Glacier Express and very strange. Please guide which will be better seats. Please also guide about our plan and if we are to stay then Chur or St. moritz. Thanks and regards. Kiran

    Hi Kiran,

    Very jealous of your trip!

In this case it might be best to stay in Chur, to break up the trip more towards the middle of the route.

If you are planning to stay more than one night then St. Moritz would be a better choice due to the Alpine scenery 🙂

Regarding the seats, it depends on your preference – window, facing forward or not. The train will have views from all sides anyway as these are panoramic trains, but you may want to be closer to the views.

Some links to read up on the routes and locations you are planning to visit:

    Have a wonderful trip!

    Maria.
