Hi Nats,
Welcome to MySwissAlps.
The Glacier Express travels from Chur to St. Moritz at least twice a day in the summer. You can check out the timetables using the links available at https://www.myswissalps.com/glacierexpress/gettingthere.
More details about the Glacier Express here, including how to buy a ticket and make a seat reservation: http://www.myswissalps.com/glacierexpress
Details about Bernina Express here: http://www.myswissalps.com/berninaexpress

Thanks for the links. I did look at them before but I was not sure about how you reserve a seat for only part of the journey. Do you just reserve a seat for the entire journey, regardless of where you get on? In my case I want to go from Chur to St. Moritz on the Glacier Express. On the Glacier express website, do I choose Zermatt to St. Moritz as my seat reservation even though I will be getting on in Chur? I really do not see any other options of how to book just the small portion of the route I want. Thanks

Hi Nats,
If you’re just going to St. Moritz, (from Chur) you may want to consider just taking the public trains, which travel along the exact same tracks. Its about a two hour trip and no need for seat reservations, no need to look at other routes, etc. I took that same public train from St. Moritz to Chur, and there was essentially no difference. This way you don’t have to worry about either the Berinia Express, or the Glacier Express and reserving seats on either. Less confusion, less worries, and one less cost. You can reserve seats on certain legs of both expresses, but there would be no need to. I took the Bernina from Tirano straight to St. Moritz, spent the night, and the public train from St. Moritz to Chur, where I caught the Glacier Express to Zermatt. Not sure if you have other destinations on your agenda, but for this tiny portion, the only difference would be the possiblity of maybe a bit more crowded. And you won’t need to go all the way to Pontresina, and then backtrack to St. Moritz. (If, by chance you are going to Zermatt, the Glacier Express does start in St. Moritz and goes directly there [with some stops, via Chur]. That is approx. an 8 hour ride.) Hope this helps with your planning. Enjoy your trip.

Hi Nats,
At http://www.happyrail.com/en/pass/europe/switzerland/passholder-fares-glacier-express you can reserve your seats from Andermatt to St Moritz, which will cover your trip from Chur to St. Moritz.
According to Danielsan advice, you can also travel by local trains. Regular trains do not offer panoramic windows and don’t have the same level of comfort but the landscape will be the same. You can read more about the differences at http://www.myswissalps.com/glacierexpress (scroll down until you see the title “Regular trains versus Glacier Express”)
