Could you please let me know the cost of each of the trips in Zermatt. Firstly the cable car up to the Matterhorn and the ice caves (I think it’s called Matterhorn Glacier Paradise), and the Gornergrat trip. Also could you please advise on whether they are both full day trips or could both be done on the same day?

    Hi Mariausher,

Both trips can be done in one day if you wish. Prices and schedules to get there can be found on the SBB timetable for both trips (Gornergrat and Klein Matterhorn also known as Glacier Paradise).

The price you first see on the timetable is the Swiss Half Fare Card price – so double to to get the regular fare then take off any discount you may be entitled to if you have a rail pass of some sort.

    Hi Maria,

If you are there at the right time of the year, you can take the Peak2Peak trip, which uses a gondola from Furi to Riffelberg to take a shortcut between the Klein Matterhorn/Glacier Paradise cableway and the Gornergrat train.

This option is available from 30 June to 19 August 2018 and again from 24 November 2018 until 23 April 2019.

You get 50% discount with a Swiss Travel Pass, and can get your tickets on the day of travel at the valley station of the Klein Matterhorn/Glacier Paradise cableway or the Gornergrat railway.
