Cumulative discounts for Swiss rail passes?

My question is: If I have both Berner Oberland pass and Half Fare card, do they work together?

That is, if the regional pass gives me a discount on a lift etc, will the Half Fare Card halve that price?

    Thanks, Paul Rogers

    Hi Paul Rogers,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

If you have a Swiss Half Fare Card, you can purchase the Regional Pass Berner Oberland at a reduced price. For instance a standard 3-day Regional Pass Berner Oberland is CHF230. If you hold a Swiss Half Fare Card, the same pass costs only CHF150 depending on which reseller you purchase it from. You can find more info here: http://www.myswissalps.com/regionalpassberneseoberland/price

No you can’t get a double discount, but posession of a half fare card gives discount on ordinary fares, some regional passes, Saver day Passes etc.
