In december we are staking in Bergun and want to do a day trip in the route of the bernina, express

any suggesties hoe we coups do thuis bus. Take the real berninan express up and down the same route? Of uwe the regionaal traint with the extra Panoramix Windows cars in winter to make more stops,

Hi lfoubert,

So you could take either the panoramic Bernina Express train or a regional train to Tirano (they both follow the same route). Depending on your schedule you may need to take a regional train (only one departure per day in December on the Bernina Express.

You do have time on most days to take the Bernina Express and the return trip as well if you want. The regional trains will require you to make at least two train changes on the route.

You want to keep an eye on the time the sun rises and sets. Not much point going on a scenic train in the dark. See dateandtime.info/citys unrisesunset.php?id=2658846&month=12&ye ar=2017 for example.
