Hi!

we are staying in laurerbrunnen in the first week of august, and I was looking at the panoramic trains but couldn’t quite figure out wether it is possible to do a full day trave and finish at the same station again (I think Interlaken is closest than?)

is it possible to do a day trip in a panoramic train and finish at the same station again since we are not travelling through by train and have the car in Lauterbrunnen?

Hi Faberj, thanks for joining MySwissAlps!

It's certainly possible to do (parts of) panoramic train routes within one day from Lauterbrunnen/Interlaken. Some suggestions:

You can plan such trips with the aid of the "Route" sections of our train pages (e.g. https://www.myswissalps.com/goldenpass/gettingthere, https://www.myswissalps.com/lotschberger/gettingthere and https://www.myswissalps.com/glacierexpress) and the timetable. This page explains how to use it: https://www.myswissalps.com/timetable.

Many of the normal trains and cogwheel trains within the Jungfrau region are very scenic too. Please see https://www.myswissalps.com/jungfrauregion/activities for suggestions.

Does this get you started?
