Hi! I’m a tourist and planning for a solo trip from Lausanne (where I’m staying at) to Foroglio. Any advice on the best route for this and possible itinerary? Also, is this place easily accessible or requires a little bit of hiking? Just saw this from a TikTok video and was kinda interested to go. Thank you. 🙂

    Hi bxrb9,

Foroglio is located in the Bavona Valley near Locarno. If you travel on the Centovalli Railway, you can get down at Ponte Brolla (a few stations before Locarno), then take a bus to Bignasco, then another bus to Foroglio. The waterfalls is easily accessible from the bus stop. You just need to cross the bridge and follow the path leading to the waterfalls. The buses are limited so you need to plan your trip carefully. Hi bxrb9,

By train, the best way is probably via Zurich and then to Locarno and by potauto to Foroglio. The path to the waterfall is very steep in parts and you need good walking shoes. In my video you can get an impression of what it looks like there and how you get to the waterfall. A trip now in April/May is worthwhile as a lot of water comes down from the mountains!

Have a great time in Foroglio!
