Hello everyone,

Me and my wife will be in Bern from the 7th to the 10th of June and would like to visit the jungfrau region. We are considering a day trip by train or could be by bus. We don’t need to go hiking but some nice views of the region is what we are looking for. If you have any suggestions or inputs it would be appreciated.

Hi Martin and welcome to MySwissAlps!

The Swiss railways timetable will give you all the details you need to get from Bern to any town you like in the Jungfrau region. This would mostly be by train (buses only run where trains don't run).

To get some ideas on what you can do in the Jungfrau region click here. It lists mountains (including the Jungfraujoch), lakes and hikes so you can choose what looks best to you.

Will you have a rail pass of some sort? Discounts will vary but some trips can be free or up to 50% off the ticket price.
