    Hi,

I will be travelling to Interlaken on 19th of May 2017. Is it necessary to book paragliding in advance or can we get the tickets once we reach to Interlaken. We also have Swiss Travel Pass with us.

While searching for Paragliding in Interlaken, I have come across multiple companies that provide this service, so which paragliding company would you suggest we should go for?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Kovid Agarwal

It would be best to contact the company and see what they say about pre-booking para-gliding.

We have a company we recommend in Interlaken here.

    Hi Kovid,

You don’t have to book a long way in advance, the day before should be OK. The various tour operators have ticket booths close to the landing field, which is across the road from the casino. Just walk around and see what is on offer. If you are there early in the morning, you might be able to get a flight on the same day, it all depends on how busy they are.

Keep in mind the weather conditions. Obviously, if the weather is bad you will have to wait. Less obviously, pilots may not fly if a Föhn is blowing. This is a strong, warm southerly wind that brings clear skys and bright, sunny days. It can also be very dangerous to fly in because it can create very strong downdrafts. The local pilots will be able to tell you if conditions are right or not.

My wife and I flew with SkyWings from Beattenberg. They were very professional and we will fly with them again next time we go. Having said that, I would expect any operator in Interlaken to be very experienced and safe to fly with.

Let me know if you have any questions

    Hi Kovid,

I haven’t flown in the Lauterbrunnen valley, but it is a spectacular location and any flight there would be memorable.

This is the link to SKyWings, the company I flew with.

    Hi,

I don’t know about discounts, you’ll have to ask them and the Swiss aren’t big on negotiating, you would be expected to pay the asking price.
