    Hello Moderators and Experts,

i will be returning my rental car at Basel Badischer train station and taking the train to Luzern on July 7th. I have a Swiss Travel Pass. I understand Basel Bad is in Germany.Does the Swiss Travel Pass cover the route from Basel Bad to Basel SBB?

Thank you for your valuable help. I’d be lost without your website!

    Hi Travelbug53!

Yes, it is included. 🙂 It is only about 5 minutes outside of Basel main station/ Switzerland and they make allowances for that – you can see it on the PDF map for the Swiss Travel Pass coverage here.

Thanks again Lucas. We’ll have luggage. Do we take a train from Basel Bad to Basel main station or just walk since it’s only 5 min? Thank you.

Well it’s a 5 minute train ride perhaps. So definitely take the train here, much easier/simpler. Walking across the river etc would be 30 minutes I’d say and trams or buses run also about are 15 to 20 minutes.

Trains will come every 8 to 15 minutes. schedules here.
