    Hi,

With a Swiss Pass it is possible to use the Centovalli Express and the Treno Panoramico Train. Is this correct please?

If it is correct do seats need to be booked on either of these trains?

    Thanks

    Simon

Welcome Simon! The Centovalli line is included in the Swiss Pass; seat reservations aren’t necessary. I’m not sure what you mean with ‘Treno Panoramico’; this just means ‘panoramic train’ and there are several throughout the country. Please download the validity map from the Swiss Pass page; this shows exactly which routes are covered.

    Hi,
    Thanks for this reply.
The Swiss Rail Online timetable still says that the 13.25 and 15.25 from Domodossola to Locarno are subject to a surcharge. Is this applicable to a Swiss Pass holder?
    Thanks

    Simon

    Hi Simon,

Surcharges/seat reservations are not included in passes.

Thanks but what I am not clear on is if any Centovalli trains need a surcharge at all?

    Hi Simon,

A surcharge has to be paid for most trains (they’re called “Treno Panoramico”), but not for all trains. The timetable shows what applies to the train you have in mind. The two you mentioned indeed require the surcharge.

Thanks for that. I thought that was the answer.
